At the Supply Chain Development Seminar of the 2025 Solar Industry Annual Conference held on December 17, Li Zhenguo, Founder and Chief Technology Officer of LONGi Green Energy, conducted an in-depth analysis of the current development landscape of the solar industry. He called on the entire industry to strengthen self-discipline, avoid disorderly competition, and work together to promote industrial chain synergy and sustainable growth.
Li Zhen Guo emphasized that after decades of accumulation, China’s solar industry has evolved into an internationally competitive sector featuring a complete industrial chain, sustained technological innovation capabilities, and end-to-end self-reliance. Through continuous independent innovation and core technological advancements, domestic enterprises have achieved global leadership across multiple segments. Their products now reach over 200 countries and regions worldwide, powerfully supporting global energy transition efforts.
Currently, the solar industry faces cyclical challenges including capacity adjustments, price fluctuations, and intensified internal competition. Li pointed out that an innovation-driven, collaborative, and stable supply chain system is the cornerstone for achieving long-term, healthy industry development.
“At this stage, the entire industry must unite and form a cohesive force for development,” ” Li Zhenguo further proposed that the industry should continue to focus on technological innovation, build a highly resilient and collaborative supply chain, deepen its global market layout, and continuously enhance the international competitiveness and influence of Chinese solar brands. At the same time, enterprises across the industrial chain should deepen pragmatic cooperation, strengthen industry self-discipline, resolutely oppose irrational competition, and jointly build an open, standardized, efficient, and sustainable industrial ecosystem to inject solar energy momentum into promoting the transformation of the energy system and ensuring national energy security.
